Coach St. Car Park / Bridge St. Car Park and Bailey Car Park. 5 minute walk. We do offer a drop off point where you can drop and collect your gown from the front door with prior arrangement.

Of course, you can bring any wedding dress you like, whether it be brand new, vintage, high street or high end.

If you're ordering a wedding dress from a bridal boutique, it's highly likely that you'll need to have some alterations. That's because most dresses are made to order, not made to measure, so adjustments will ensure it fits you perfectly.

Remember, even if you're not buying your dress from a boutique, alterations can make a huge difference to the fit of a high street or vintage dress, too.

The most important thing to do during your fitting is answer the seamstress honestly and communicate what you want. Be realistic if something is too tight, rubbing or you don’t quite like how it’s fitting: a tailoress’ job is to make your dress as perfect as it can. You can help achieve that by giving your tailoress as much information as possible.

Please bring your dress, wedding shoes and under garments to all your fittings. This includes stick on bras and shapewear.

You can bring two adult guests to your appointments. We do politely request you do not bring children or babies to your appointments, but understand this is not always possible so please do let us know beforehand.

If you are hoping to lose or gain weight, or tone up your muscle before your wedding date, please aim for your plateau to begin around the date of your first tailoring appointment.

Once your alterations process is completed you can either take your dress home with you or you can use our Store & Steam service. This is charged at £10 per week and includes insurance cover within our secure building, full length hanging and steaming on the day of your collection which can be right up to your wedding date.
